Storms last eastern Ky., no injuries reported

HAZARD, Ky. (AP) — Storm damage is being cleared away in eastern Kentucky after strong winds brought down trees and power lines.

In Magoffin County, County Judge-Executive Charles "Doc" Hardin told WYMT-TV (http://bit.ly/18mF397 ) road crews were in the middle of a county-wide cleanup, but will be pulled off that duty and will work to clear roads of storm debris. Several homes were reported damaged by the storms, but there were no reports of injuries.

The heaviest storms ended before midnight Sunday.

There were also reports of trees down and barns damaged by storm winds in Morgan County.

An 80 percent chance of showers was forecast for the region on Monday with a 50 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms Monday night.
