2 children call 911 about break-in

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Lexington police say two children called 911 to report someone breaking into their home and officers later chased three people from the home.

Officers told WTVQ-TV in Lexington (http://bit.ly/1aHmqeT ) the call came in about 1:30 a.m. EDT. Officers found two men chased a third person into the house and started beating him.

Police say one of the men had a rifle.

After police arrived, all three ran from the home.

Police say two adults were also there with the children at the time were and not the targets. None of the residents were injured.

Police say they have not been able to locate the man being beaten.
