A late night fire claimed a tractor and bushhog in the Edmonson County community of Roundhill Tuesday night. Bear Creek Fire Department was sent to the 200 block of C. Kinser Road when a neighbor noticed the tractor burning. The Fire Chief, J.T. Carroll, called for the Sheriff's Department to come investigate the fire. "The fire chief didn't think it was random fire, due to an increased amount of vandalism in the area," said Shane Doyle of the Sheriff's Department. "After a little investigation, I was able to take a juvenile into custody who confessed to the fire." The juvenile's name is being withheld. The damage to the equipment exceeds $50,000. The owner of the tractor, Robert T. Trent, examined his property the next day and also found where the hay inside his barn was burned, but it failed to ignite the barn. More charges are pending.
