PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) — Authorities have identified the man who was killed and the four adults who were injured when a house exploded in western Kentucky.
Kentucky State Police say the man who died was 72-year-old Kenneth Story of Murray. The injured included 54-year-old Marty Story and 70-year-old Barbara Parker, both of Murray; 41-year-old Melissa Mcleod of Hazel and 60-year-old Ida Greer of Almo.
Police said Sunday evening that the four remained in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Police said they suffered severe injuries when the home in the Coldwater community of Calloway County exploded and caught fire on Saturday.
Investigators say a recently installed gas heater may have been the cause of the blast.
