LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A southeastern Kentucky man who competed in the show America's Got Talent has finished third.
The Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/17LG33E) reports 33-year-old Jimmy Rose of Pineville said Wednesday after the winner was announced that the competition has been "a crazy experience and a humbling experience."
Rose is an Iraqi War veteran who worked briefly as a coal miner and sang about coal during the show's run.
At least two other men from Kentucky have also competed in the finals. Central Kentucky sand artist Joe Castillo placed fifth last year and western Kentucky singer and famer Kevin Skinner won the competition in 2009.
