Caneyville sets Trick or Treat hours in special called meeting



Mayor Embry called the meeting to order at 6 pm.  This was a special meeting due to the regular meeting being cancelled and moved to this date.  Members present were Janice Minton, Debbie Embry, Scott Majors and Connie Gootee.  Also present were Avery Flener, Anthony Clark and Brenda Brown.
 
Commissioner Minton made the motion to dispense with reading of minutes and accept them as presented.  Commissioner Embry seconded the motion.  All commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried.
 
Commission discussed the concession building progress.  The concrete has been poured and the commission agreed to continue with erecting the block walls.
 
Mayor Embry read a letter of resignation from Brenda Brown, resigning her full-time position as City Clerk.  She will continue as City Treasurer part-time.  Resignation was effective as of September 30, 2013.
 
Commissioner Majors made the motion to authorize Mayor Embry to sign the Recreational Trails Grant agreement.  Commissioner Embry seconded the motion.  All commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried.
 
Commission set trick or treat hours from 5 – 8 pm on Halloween night.
 
Anthony Clark reported the fire department pancake breakfast was  a success. He informed the commission the pumps are being tested to comply with ISO requirements.  Uniforms are still being fitted and some sizes have been incorrect and had to be exchanged.
 
Commissioner Embry made the motion to contract with Cleanrite to clean areas in the old school.  Commissioner Majors seconded the motion.  All commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried.
 
Commissioner Majors made the motion to go into executive session to discuss personnel.  
Commissioner Embry seconded the motion.  All commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried.
 
Commissioner Gootee made the motion to return to regular session.  Commissioner Embry seconded the motion.  All commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried.
Majors seconded the motion.  All commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried.
Upon returning to regular session,  Mayor Embry reported no action was taken. Commissioner Minton made the motion to adjourn.  Commissioner Embry seconded the motion.  All commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried.
