WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (AP) — A mother and her boyfriend have been charged with murder in the death of an eastern Kentucky toddler.
Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird told the Lexington Herald-Leader and WYMT-TV that 36-year-old Trina White and her boyfriend, 35-year-old Mark S. Hyden, were arrested Monday in the death of the woman's child.
Two-year-old Madisyn Davis died last week after being found unresponsive. Bird said the girl's cause of death was attributed to blunt force trauma and she had a visible injury on her face.
It was unclear whether the two had yet obtained attorneys.
They were originally taken to the Whitley County jail, but were moved for safety reasons because the child's father also was in custody there.
