LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A Louisville police officer and three others have been injured in a wreck that occurred after the officer stopped on the side of an expressway.
The Courier-Journal reported (http://cjky.it/17YppPz ) that the officer had been helping motorist whose white pickup truck had stopped on the side of the Watterson Expressway near Bell Lane Thursday morning.
A silver Scion truck hit the rear driver's side corner of the police car.
The police cruiser spun around and the Scion came to a stop in the middle of the road. The officer and the pickup driver were taken to University Hospital.
The driver of the Scion was not wearing a seat belt and taken to University Hospital. A 7-year-old child riding in the Scion was taken to Kosair Children's Hospital.
