Ken Roberts to challenge Skaggs for Magistrate seat
Two more candidates have filed papers stating their intention to run for public office in Grayson County.
Long-time local businessman Ken Roberts, a Republican, filed papers with the County Clerk’s Office stating his intention to challenge incumbent Republican Bill Skaggs for the 3rd District Magistrate seat. Michael Childress, also a Republican, is set to vie for the 3rd District Magistrate slot as well.
Jonathan S. Decker, a Republican, filed his candidacy papers late last week seeking the County PVA position where he will challenge Democrat incumbent Milburn R. Vanmeter in what is so far a two man race.
January 28 at 4:00 is the deadline for those seeking office to file their intentions to run with the County Clerk's Office.
