LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — A man wanted on a murder charge in Lexington involving a chef at the University of Kentucky who disappeared more than a month ago has been arrested in Texas.
Lexington police say Robert Markham Taylor was arrested Wednesday in Pharr, Texas. Authorities there say he is also charged with marijuana possession and is to be arraigned Thursday afternoon. Extradition will be arranged with the Fayette County sheriff's office.
Another man, 42-year-old Timothy Ballard, is charged with complicity to kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence in the case.
The case involves the disappearance of 32-year-old Alex Johnson. No one has heard from him since Dec. 20 when he ended a phone call with his girlfriend by saying he needed to answer the door at his home.
