SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Eastbound Interstate 64 traffic will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday for drainage repairs.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the left lane of eastbound I-64 will be closed while workers make repairs to alleviate ponding of water on the roadway. The closure will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST.
The closure will be in the work zone of the I-64 widening project between Simpsonville and Shelbyville, mile points 27.9 to 32.8.
Traffic will be shifted to the right lane east of the Simpsonville exit, Exit 28. Motorists will have access to the welcome center and Exit 32 in Shelbyville.
