The Grayson County Sheriff’s and Clarkson Fire Departments responded to a single-vehicle accident involving a Triple D utility truck which left the roadway in the 900 Block of Spurrier Road on Tuesday morning about 8:00.
The truck left the road and traveled a short distance down an embankment, turning over on its side in a yard nearly crushing a Corvette which sat in a driveway. No one was inside the Corvette at the time of the incident.
The driver of the truck was trapped inside the vehicle for a short time, but was extricated by Clarkson firefighters. The driver, who suffered a head injury, was originally transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by EMS, but was then taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
