The Leitchfield Tourism Commission along with other city officials toured the under-construction aquatic center on Tuesday morning. An Alliance Construction representative, the builder of the project, led the tour.
Alliance reported that even though the area has been hit with an extremely harsh winter, the project is still targeted to be completed by July.
In related business, the commission agreed to reduce the size of a retaining wall at the aquatic center at a savings of just over $8,000.00.
Also, it was decided that a cast stone that was previously taken out of the project plans be included in construction plans going forward due to landscape savings in the aquatic center budget.
The cast stone will be in the front of the aquatic center building and surrounding the monument sign. The cost of the cast stone is just over $4,300.00
