Man hits deer, arrested for DUI

The Grayson County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday night at 9:22 on Elizabethtown Road in Big Clifty.

Upon arriving on the scene, Deputy Joey Beasely discovered that John J. DeClue, driving a 2002 Pontiac, had struck a deer in the roadway.

DeClue was uninjured in the accident, but after an on-scene investigation by Beasley, DeClue was arrested for DUI, possession of marijuana, and was additionally charged with resisting arrest.

DeClue was the car's only occupant.

He was transported to the Grayson County Detention Center.
