Leonard Raymond Newton, Sr., age 57, of Millwood, KY, passed away Tuesday, (March 4, 2014) at his home.
He was born on June 24, 1956 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late Lonnie Everett and Elzora Durbin Newton.
He loved riding his motorcycle, and anything pertaining to motorcycles. He also loved to hunt. He attended The Little Church in Shrewsbury.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Hack Newton of Millwood; three sons, Leonard Raymond Newton, Jr. and wife Cherish of Leitchfield, Nathan Ramsey of Millwood, and Nick Bradley and wife Teri of Leitchfield; three daughters, Ora Jaggers of Anneta, Christy Croghan and husband Pat of Leitchfield, and Jennifer Saltz and husband Kenny of Bowling Green; fifteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; one sister, Theresa Newton Logsdon of Millwood; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon K. Newton, and Karon E. Newton Willis.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (March 7, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Joey Decker and Bro. William Dotson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vol Layman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
The family requests that anyone who wishes to ride their motorcycle in the funeral procession to honor Leonard, please do so.
