BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- Mildred E. Rutherford, 86, of Cedar Springs passed away at 8:13 AM April 14, 2014 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Edmonson County native was a retired employee of Kellwood/Brownsville Garment Mfg. Co. and a member of New Liberty Methodist Church. She was a daughter of the late Tara Hobart Houchin and Flara Bethel Reynolds Houchin and the wife of the late J. C. Rutherford. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest W. "Buzzy" Rutherford; and a sister, Idell Howard.
Funeral will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Lambert Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon-9 PM Tuesday and after 9 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Surviving are three daughters, Janelle Ray and Phyllis Mansfield (Jeff) both of Chalybeate and Glenda Gaige of Cedar Springs; two sons, Dennis Rutherford and Joe Rutherford (Rose) both of Bowling Green; a brother, George "Tubby" Houchin of Cedar Springs; a sister, Wilma Sanders of Louisville; nine grandchildren, Sonja Napier, Cary Rutherford, Chris Rutherford, Barry Rutherford, Tracy Madison, Jamie Mansfield, Joyce Arms, Johnathan Mansfield and Charla Boles; two step grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
