Press release from Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center:
A national healthcare journal has included Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in a list of the best healthcare facilities to work in the United States for the second year in a row. Becker's Healthcare has published its 2014 list of "150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare;" a compilation of hospitals, health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, physician groups, vendors and other healthcare organizations that provide robust benefit packages, positive work environments, excellent employee recognition programs and opportunities for professional development and continuing education.
Becker's Healthcare, based in Chicago, has been compiling a list of Great Places to Work in Healthcare annually since 2011. This is the first year non-provider organizations were included on the list and TLRMC is one of only two hospitals in Kentucky to receive the honor.
Wayne Meriwether, MHA, Chief Executive Officer at TLRMC says the recognition confirms what he finds while walking through the hospital.
“When I hear our staff referring to their co-workers as ‘family’ and patients comment on being ‘treated like family’, it makes me appreciate that TLRMC really is a special place to work. It’s our people that make the difference and we welcome Becker’s once again confirming something we’ve known for a long time," Meriwether said.
The Becker's Hospital Review and Becker's ASC Review editorial teams accepted nominations for the 2014 list and selected recipients based on nominations and thorough editorial research.
To develop the list, the Becker's Healthcare editorial team conducted research, considered nominations and evaluated organizations based on their benefits, workplace culture, professional development opportunities and previous recognition for workplace excellence. The resulting list is a compilation of 150 healthcare organizations that go above and beyond for their employees and are great places to work.
