Jason Woosley officially took over as the new Grayson County Jailer on Friday morning just before 11:00. Outgoing Jailer Darwin Dennison notified Fiscal Court earlier this week that he would relinquish control of the Grayson County Detention Center at 3:30 on Friday afternoon.
Woosley was sworn in by County Judge Executive Gary Logsdon in Logsdon’s office. He was of course overwhelmingly elected
Grayson County’s new Jailer in the May 20 primary election, winning over 63.0 percent of the vote in a three-way Republican race.
Woosley will serve out the remainder of Dennison’s term, which expires on January 1, then begin his four-year term as Grayson County Jailer.
