UPDATE: Two men found unresponsive on West Chestnut

EMS personnel along with the Leitchfield Police Department responded to a call about two unresponsive men at an apartment complex in Leitchfield around 11:45 on Wednesday morning.

Upon arrival, EMS discovered two unconscious men in two separate rooms in the apartment. Both men displayed shallow breathing; four to six breaths per minute, according to EMS workers.

Soon after arriving on the scene, EMS personnel requestedd Air Methods helicopters be dispatched to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in order to fly the two men to a hospital in Louisville.

At this time, the Leitchfield Police Department can only confirm that officers worked a scene at West Chestnut Street in Leitchfield, where they found two males unresponsive. No further information will be available pending further investigation.

In our story earlier today regarding this incident, we included an incorrect detail, as we associated officers finding a 2-liter bottle fashioned to ingest a substance with the two unresponsive men, but that detail was related to another incident the LPD was investigating today.
