Two vehicle accident on Shrewsbury Road injures one

The Grayson County Sheriff and Leitchfield Fire Departments responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1100 block of Shrewsbury Road on Thursday morning at 6:15.

A Toyota truck, driven by Corey Howard, was traveling East on Shrewsbury in heavy fog, when Howard’s vehicle drifted slightly into the opposite lane, clipping a Westbound 2004 Ford F150 driven by Ben Adkins.

Upon impact, the Toyota truck turned over, while the F150, with a heavily damaged driver’s side wheel-well area, left the roadway, coming to rest in a ditch on the opposite side of the road.

Howard was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center by EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Adkins was unhurt in the accident.

According to Grayson County Sheriff Rick Clemons, the dense fog may have played a role in the wreck.
