Friday morning around 11:20, a front porch collapsed on a man on Grindstone Road. The man, last name Willis (the man’s first name was unavailable at the time of publication), was doing work on the porch when it became unstable and fell on him, trapping him underneath the rubble.
The Clarkson Fire Department responded to the scene and freed Willis from underneath the collapsed porch. Having incurred serious trauma to his body, including (at least) several broken ribs and abrasions, the Clarkson Fire Department and EMS personnel requested assistance from Air Methods to fly the injured man to the University of Louisville Hospital, which has a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Willis was taken by ambulance to the soccer fields in Clarkson, where the Air Methods copter met the ambulance and piloted Willis to the hospital in Louisville.
