25th Annual Rex Hurt Nolin Fest is Saturday

The 25th Annual Rex Hurt NolinFest, at the Moutardier Recreation Shelter, located at 1990 Moutardier Road, begins Saturday with the Western Kentucky Car Club presenting its 5th Annual Classic Car show. Registration will be Saturday morning from 9:00 to 12:00, with judging at 2:00.

To go along with the car show, there will be a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, top 50 trophies and 23 “Best of” trophies. All proceeds go to the Grayson County Special Olympics.

From 3:00 until dusk, there will be free inflatable toys for children to jump on and kids will be to able to make slime with the Nutty Scientists. Also, visitors are welcome to enjoy playing cornhole or swim in the lake. There will be a variety of food and product vendors set-up for all to enjoy.

The Jack Thomas Band will perform two sets, beginning at 4:30. The high energy band will play hits from artists such as Waylon Jennings, Jackson Browne, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, and Bill Withers.

At dusk, Nite Lites will bring a spectacular fireworks show to the event. First, Nite Lites will shoot-off fireworks over the lake, then they will shoot fireworks INTO the lake, where the “upward” explosion causes a fountain of lights from the water.
