(Washington, D.C.) Republican Congressman Brett Guthrie will host a town hall in Grayson County on Thursday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m. at the Centre on Main, located at 425 South Main Street. The town hall meeting will be open to both the general public and the media.
“It is an honor to represent Kentucky’s Second District and I look forward to hearing what’s on the mind of my fellow Kentuckians,” said Congressman Guthrie in a press release. “There are so many issues in the news today and I think it’s important to provide an opportunity to discuss them.”
Those in attendance can expect to hear a brief legislative update of the Congressman’s efforts in Washington, with a primary focus on audience questions. Constituent Services representatives will also be available to meet with constituents individually to discuss any specific casework issues they may have related to Social Security, Medicare, Veterans benefits or any other federal program.
Guthrie has served in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing the Second District, since January 3, 2009. The Second District is composed of 21 counties, stretching from Bullitt to Warren Counties. From 1999 until 2008, Guthrie served in the Kentucky Senate representing the 32nd District.
