Utilities Commission agrees to run gas line along Hwy 62, discusses personnel in executive session

At Thursday night’s meeting, the Leitchfield Utilities Commission, at the request of Utilities Superintendent Dwight Embry, agreed to install a six-inch gas line (halfway) from US 62 south to Grayson Springs Road in support of a business in the area, as well as adjacent undeveloped property. The 1,100 foot line will be installed at a cost of $9,000, and will eventually be extended the entire distance from US 62 south to Grayson Springs Road.

The Commission entered into executive session to discuss personnel issues in the Gas and Waste Water Departments. No final personnel determinations were made in the conference.
