Search warrant leads to meth bust



On Monday, the Leitchfield Police Department and the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 209 Goff Drive in Leitchfield. While executing the search warrant, police found evidence of manufacturing methamphetamine, as well as other drug related evidence.

David Hicks was arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree Drug Unspecified, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Rickey Hicks was arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Trafficking in Synthetic Cannabinoid Agonists or Piperazines, Possession of Synthetic Agonists or Piperazines, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Walter Schmuck (aka Luke Walt) was arrested for Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Synthetic Agonists or Piperazines, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. Schmuck was also arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Indiana.

Amber Hatfield was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Child Protective Services was called to assist with the safe placement of the children who were on the scene. Grayson County EMS also responded for transport of one of the children who is physically disabled.

This investigation is still ongoing with more arrests expected soon.
