UPDATE: Boil water advisory for parts of Grayson County has been lifted

Leitchfield Utilities (LU) has lifted the boil water advisory that has been in effect since Tuesday.

LU said that the water samples taken on Wednesday have been analyzed by a state certified drinking water laboratory. Samples were taken at several sites, and all sites were free of contamination.

The Kentucky Division of Water, Bowling Green Regional Office, has approved lifting the boil water advisory. The advisory was issued out of an abundance of caution due to a water main break.

The areas that were affected were Grayson Springs Road at the intersection of Hwy to the Western Kentucky Parkway, Shull White Road and Dave Coffey Road.
