We’ve designed the Twin Lakes Times to take the place of old-fashioned newspapers. If there are items you’ve seen in old-fashioned newspapers that you’d like to see in The Twin Lakes Times, contact info@k105.com Printed newspapers are history, not news. A printed newspaper is a once or twice a week “snapshot” of the world and the events that occur in it. From the time that a newspaper is compiled, proofed, sent off to the printer, printed, returned to the local office, put on news stands or into the regular mail to be delivered to you, it takes days for the information to reach you. The Twin Lakes Times is different because as soon as we have the information, it’s published to our newspaper and it’s ready for you to see and process. We’ve eliminated all the middle men so we reach you directly and instantly. That’s why we say that The Twin Lakes Times will change the way you receive your news… Forever. Sure. Using our printer friendly version, you can print unlimited copies of all our stories and take them with you for presentations, reference material, or to read in the car or while waiting for appointments. The great thing about The Twin Lakes Times is that you get a hard copy of the news YOU want, not a hard copy of the news WE want you to have. Yes. When you subscribe, you’ll be given the option to subscribe to breaking news as it happens. If schools dismiss early or there’s a local emergency, we’ll notify you as soon as the information is available so you know how to plan your day or react to changing conditions. This is a free service to Twin Lakes Times subscribers. Yes. The same way that advertising appears in traditional newspapers, it will appear in the Twin Lakes Times. We do not incorporate floating, rich media, pop-up ads, etc. We want your experience to be a positive one. As a result, our advertising content is limited to such that will help us have the resources to provide content to you without being annoying and intrusive. Yes. Many areas of our site will not require a paid subscription to access. These areas are primarily ones that have to do with our radio stations and other information about our company. Broadcast Schedules, Contests and other information does not require a paid subscription to the Twin Lakes Times. Yes. We realize that some people do not feel comfortable with making payments online.
