With Waffle Day being later this month, the 25th to be exact, I could’t stop thinking about the amazing fluffiness of a good waffle. I usually eat mine with fairly traditional toppings- butter and maple syrup, but we have all seen those deliciously layered waffles that people dream up that look SO GOOD and are dying to try.
So after I spent about 20 minutes just sitting and thinking about waffles, I found an awesome list on Tablespoon.com, that sent my taste buds soaring, so I have picked out all my favorites to share with all of you! - Cookies and Cream: So, I’m thinking this is going to taste something like Cookies and Cream ice cream in a Waffle Cone, but it’s for breakfast, so it is acceptable to eat at 8:00 AM!
- Brownie Batter: I love chocolate chip pancakes and waffles, but a completely chocolate brownie waffle sounds AMAZING.
- Bacon and Cheddar: This taps into a more classic side of Waffles because of the bacon, but this has a twist of Cheddar added in. If you like the sweetness of waffles, but maybe nothing too sweet, you may be interested in this recipe.
- Berry Good Waffles- Add a natural sweetness to your waffles by topping them with various berries and fruits. Strawberries and blueberries are great accents for a fresher taste!
- Chocolate Bacon Waffles- The perfect mixture of salty and sweet all in one wholesomely delicious waffle. This has already been added to my Weekend To-Make Plans.
- Mac and Cheese: I will be the first to admit, this one is a little strange, but also so interesting! I am not quite sure when would be the appropriate time to eat this because it doesn’t really have that breakfast feel about it. Maybe a fun dinner to try one night? If anyone is feeling brave enough to try this, let me know how it goes!
- Rocky Road Brownie Waffles: Mmm…another ice cream themed waffle recipe. The main thing that caught my eye? The MARSHMALLOWS!
Are these not the BEST waffles that you have ever laid your eyes on? True Confession: I had planned on having subs for supper and just called my husband and we are now having waffles.
