On Sunday, a teenager was airlifted to University of Kentucky Medical Center after falling near Wolf Creek Dam.
The South Russell County fire chief said a 17-year-old male was with his family when he fell more than 200 feet from a Lake Cumberland overlook on the lake side of the dam, according to media reports.
Officials said two boaters helped lead fire and rescue crews to where the teen fell. He was found partially in the water and suffered a broken leg and several lacerations, but was alert and talking to rescuers.
