Patty Gaye Embry, 66, of Morgantown, Kentucky, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Patty was born March 30, 1952 in Morgantown to Brodie and Tanzie Woodcock Embry.
She was a seamstress, having worked many years for Kane Industries.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by one brother, Marlin Embry, one nephew, Jason Embry, one niece, Misty Embry, and one brother-in-law, Sonny Smith. Survivors include: four sisters, Charlotte Ann Dennis (Donnie) of Leitchfield, Elaine Smith of Lincoln, Illinois, Mary Decker (Denver) of Leitchfield, and Debra Lynn Embry of Welches Creek; two brothers, Arlin Embry (Charlotte) of Owensboro, and Emanuel Embry of Caneyville; five nieces, Pam Fulkerson, Rhonda Farris, Jennifer Embry Webb, Kristy Ray and Lorie Holderman; and nine nephews, Steven Smith, Michael Smith, Greg Dennis, Terry Decker, Joseph Embry, Joey Decker, Mike Decker, Steven Decker and Jeff Decker. Several great-nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel, 201 East Maple Street in Caneyville.
Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 20 and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of services. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.
