Norman Elmore, age 94, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (November 29, 2018) at the Radcliff Veterans Center in Radcliff, KY.

He was born on January 25, 1924 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Edward Walter and Dolly Decker Elmore.

He was a retired supply administrator at Fort Knox, a World War 2 army veteran; and a Kentucky Colonel. He enjoyed collecting coins, hunting arrowheads and mushrooms. He was a member and was an ordained deacon since 1952 of the Antioch General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Nancy Marie Stevenson Elmore, two sons, Larry Dale (Betty Lou) of Leitchfield and Michael Kerry Elmore (Anastasia) of Seymour, TN; his daughter, Rhonda Lynn Wooden (Glenn) of Leitchfield; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lininger (Jason), Jeremy Elmore (Sara), Wesley Wooden (Samantha), Evan Wooden, and Kerry and Steven Elmore, three step grandchildren, Basil, Alexander, and Elise Thacker, five Great Grandchildren, two step-brothers, J. D and A. D Elmore of Leitchfield and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Vernon and Glen Dean Elmore and three sisters, Maxine Minton, Iona Denmark and Rheuelma Newton and a step-brother, Howard Elmore.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (December 3, 2018) at the Antioch General Baptist Church. Bro. Gary Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday and then taken to the church for services.
