Brenda J. Carnes, age 73 of Leitchfield passed away Friday, December 7th 2018 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born June 20th 1945 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert & Allen Deckard Wells. She was a retired registered nurse at the Springview Nursing & Rehab Center.
She is survived by her son, Greg Dennis, one special grandson, Braxton Robinson, four sisters, Mary Lee Williams, Martha Ann Sessums (Joe Don), Bobbie Jean Higdon (Barry), & Barbara Ashworth (Don), and one brother, Robert Ray Wells (Deana).
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Carnes, one niece, Jeanie Vincent, & one nephew Joseph Chase Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday (Dec. 12) at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pm – 8pm on Monday, from 9am until 8pm on Tuesday, and from 9am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
