Two people have been convicted of killing an Elizabethtown man.

A jury convicted 51-year-old Lisa Harvey, of Elizabethtown, and 44-year-old Rick Fisher, of Louisville, of killing 58-year-old Andrew Folena, in June 2018.

At trial, testimony revealed that Harvey was Folena’s girlfriend but she had become involved with Fisher. The pair murdered Folena after he caught Harvey and Fisher in a sexually compromising position, The News Enterprise reports.

On June 9, 2018, police received a tip about the murder, and based on that tip authorities discovered freshly disturbed ground in the back yard of Folena’s Ralph Franklin Road residence. A cadaver dog was requested from Kentucky Bloodhound Search and Rescue to assist in the search. The dog alerted where the ground had been disturbed, with police removing a few inches of dirt and discovering Folena’s body.

He had been stabbed multiple times in his midsection and suffered from blunt force trauma. He had also been strangled.

Harvey and Fisher were sentenced to 30 years in prison.
