Kentucky State Police has released the identity of the third body found in a residence on River Road in LaRue County in July.
Police said 40-year-old Michael Murray, of Louisville, has been positively identified. State police said Murray killed 39-year-old Nicole Murray, of New Haven, and 33-year-old Brittany Wilson, of Louisville. Murray had been shot twice and Wilson was found dismembered in a freezer.
Wilson was murdered at a residence on Ashby Lane in Louisville sometime before July 22, police said. Her body was then taken to the River Road residence, in the small community of Roanoke about eight miles north of Hodgenville.
On July 22, Michael Murray confessed to a relative that he killed both women and then set the River Road home containing the two women’s bodies on fire before taking his own life at the residence, according to Kentucky State Police.
Authorities said the murders were the result of a domestic situation.
