An Elizabethtown woman is accused of stabbing someone and then holding her boyfriend against his will

Sunday morning at 5:00, the Elizabethtown Police Department responded to the 500 block of Douglas Alley, just off North Mulberry Street, on the report of someone being stabbed with a knife, according to The News-Enterprise. Upon arriving at the scene, 27-year-old Tiersa Revels barricaded herself inside the residence, holding her boyfriend against his will, police told the newspaper.

The Elizabethtown police Special Response Team along with the Crisis Negotiations Team then responded to the residence and convinced Revels to release her boyfriend just before 9:00 a.m. Soon after, Revels surrendered to authorities.

Receiving minor injuries after being stabbed by Revels during the incident was another, unidentified person.

Revels was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and first-degree unlawful imprisonment. She was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
