An elderly Hart County man has perished in a house fire.
Kentucky State Police is conducting a death investigation after 83-year-old Ralph B. Bennett, of Hardyville, died Sunday night about 6:30 during a fire at his home at 124 Hundred Acre Pond Road.
The Hardyville Fire Department arrived at the home and discovered Bennett’s body inside, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hart County Coroner’s Office.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, but foul play is not suspected, according to state police.
The investigation is ongoing.
