Carter Co. jailer jailed after having DUI wreck

The Carter County jailer has been arrested after having a DUI wreck.

Kentucky State Police arrested Carter County Jailer Robert William “RW” Boggs Sunday night after he hit a vehicle near Lakeview Circle in Grayson.

According to state police, Boggs hit another vehicle twice while backing into a driveway.

Boggs was given a field sobriety test, which he failed. He was charged with DUI and lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center. He is no longer listed as an inmate.

Boggs has been the Carter County jailer since 2011. He previously served as a member of the Kentucky State Corrections Committee.
