
Grayson County High School senior teammates Kaylor Decker and Hunter Tomes have finished first and second in Kentucky.com’s state “Offensive Player of the Week.”
The awards come after the pair had huge performances in the Cougars 49-30 win over McLean County last Friday night.
Decker, the Cougars’ senior quarterback, also turned in a big performance by accumulating 202 passing yards, 207 rushing yards, and 5 total touchdowns.
Tomes, who finished a close second, caught seven passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns while also adding a rushing touchdown.
The award is given out by the Lexington Herald-Leader weekly throughout the high school football season. The pair combined for 27,212 votes and over 70% of the total votes cast.
Grayson County will take the field next on Friday evening at 7:00 pm as they welcome Butler County for a rivalry matchup. Coverage of the game will begin at 6:30 and can be viewed via K105 Digital Productions or live on K105 (104.9).
