The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office is leading a search for a Caneyville woman not seen since June 2013.

Melvia Roarx, 28, was last seen on June 4, 2013, when she left her home and drove to a Caneyville convenience store. She made it to the store but then disappeared.

Her vehicle, a 2000 Dodge Caravan, was found on I-65 in Bullitt County, near Shepherdsville. Roarx’s purse was inside the van but her wallet was not.

According to Sheriff Norman Chaffins, his office recently received information on the location of Roarx’s body. A bloodhound, Caneyville Fire Department members, and deputies are currently conducting a search in the Caneyville area.

The sheriff’s office is not releasing further details at this time.
