Two men have been arrested in Glasgow following a shooting.

The Glasgow Police Department said officers responded to Bryant Street on the report of a shooting on Saturday.

According to police, the investigation determined that an altercation had taken place between several people after a vehicle made multiple trips to the area before stopping at a residence.

“The subject in the vehicle brandished a firearm which led to several shots being fired and one person being struck in the hand area,” police said.

The person suffering from the gunshot wound left the scene and traveled to a residence on North Race Street where EMS transported the individual to TJ Samson Community Hospital.

Authorities said the victim was treated and released from the hospital.

The investigation led police to arrest 40-year-old James Smith and 31-year-old Steven L. Brown, both of Glasgow.

Smith was charged with two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and tampering with physical evidence. Brown was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and tampering with physical evidence.

Both suspects were lodged in the Barren County Detention Center where Brown is being held on a $50,000 cash bond and Smith on a $25,000 cash bond.

This case remains under investigation with further arrests pending, police said.
