Elizabethtown police looking to identify ‘person of interest’ in robbery of boutique at knife point

Police in Elizabethtown are asking for help identifying a “person of interest” in the armed robbery of a boutique.

According to Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Officer Chris Denham, Monday morning just after 10:00, an armed white male entered The Bug’s Ear, at 912 North Dixie Avenue.

Police said that “upon entering the business, the suspect … displayed a knife and ordered the clerk to surrender cash from the register.” The clerk complied with the suspect fleeing the area with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured in the robbery.

Police are asking for help identifying a “person of interest” shown in the photographs who was seen leaving the area immediately after the robbery, Denham said.

If information shared with Hardin County Crime Stoppers leads investigators to the identification of the suspect, the tipster is eligible for a cash reward.
