Grayson County High School will send three golfers to next week’s KHSAA semi-state round.

Landon Skees, Jackson Mayes, and Natalie Garrett all qualified following strong performances in Monday and Tuesday’s 5th Region tournament at Elizabethtown CC.

On Monday, Skees fired a 77 with Mayes right behind him with an 81. Tuesday, Garrett backed up the pair with a 90 to send herself into the next round.

The tournament featured schools from as far north as Louisville and as far east as Spencer County.

Next week’s semi-state will be new for the KHSAA. In past years, all region qualifiers advanced to the state championship. This year, the region qualifiers will participate against multiple regions with top finishers advancing to the state final round in Bowling Green.

Grayson County’s trio of golfers will compete at Heritage Hills GC in Shepherdsville against schools from regions 5, 6, 7, and 8.
