An employee of the Georgetown Toyota manufacturing plant has been killed on the job.

The Scott County Coroner told WKYT.com that 39-year-old Diego Garcia died Tuesday morning after “something fell on him.”

Garcia, the television reports, had worked at the plant for many years.

Toyota officials issued the following statement on Garcia’s death:

On November 15, an incident occurred at Toyota Kentucky at approximately 11:00 a.m. EST, which resulted in a team member fatality. We are working closely and cooperating fully with all agencies and investigations into the incident. Words cannot express our sadness for our fellow team member and our deepest sympathies go to his loved ones.

The death investigation is ongoing.
