Lois Willidean Hicks, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (March 22, 2023) at her daughter’s home in Leitchfield.
She was born on January 05, 1943 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late James and Bertha Gibson Constant.
She was a line worker at Bel Cheese who enjoyed gardening, sewing, and watching the horses. She was a member of the Hill Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Jamie Leonard (Julia), of Leitchfield, Keith Eugene (Robin) of Big Clifty, KY, and Kelly Vance (Vickie) Hicks of Caneyville, KY; two daughters, Janet Hicks Ragland of Leitchfield and Tammy Glasscock (Corky) of Millwood, KY; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; four sisters, Estie Cook of South Carolina, Brenda Woosley of Caneyville, Linda Bradley of Leitchfield & Barbara Pierce of Millwood; one sister-in-law, Patricia Hicks, and her best friend and second sister-in-law, Betty Harp. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Hicks; a daughter, Betty Marie Hicks; and four grandchildren, Brandy Ragland Bernard, Emily Hicks, Jamie Elizabeth Pierce & Brenna Hicks.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, (March 25, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. David Brown will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hill Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
