Grayson County track and field was led by Amelia Hayes and Jackson Crume during Saturday’s Owensboro Invitational.

Hayes came first in the pole vault while Crume finished second in the 3200m dash. Crume crossed the finish line just ahead of teammate Houston Brooks in that event.

Other third-place finishers for Grayson County were Alexis Henderson in the 300m dash and Dylan Gibson in the pole vault.

As a team, the Lady Cougars finished sixth place overall with the Cougar boys coming in 11th in the highly competitive meet.

Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Meade County. They will join the host Green Wave alongside Central Hardin, Elizabethtown, LaRue County, and Breckinridge County.
