
A teenager has been electrocuted in an accident in Harlan County.
The Harlan County Sheriff’s Office said the “work accident” happened at approximately 10:20 Tuesday morning in the Holmes Mill community, about 20 miles east of Harlan.
The victim, identified as 19-year-old Bryson K. Cottongim, was working out of a bucket truck when he was electrocuted as he installed fiber cable, according to WYMT.com.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Harlan County Deputy Coroner Gene Fisher.
The investigation is ongoing.
