A motorcyclist has been killed in Simpson County.
Kentucky State Police said troopers responded to the crash on Wednesday evening just before 6:00 in the 1200 block of Witt Road in southwest Franklin.
State police said the investigation showed that a 2008 Harley-Davidson, being driven by 47-year-old Jared Jones, of Salem, Indiana, was traveling south on Witt Road when the vehicle left the roadway.
Jones and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.
Jones was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger was airlifted to TriStar Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Grant Roberson.
