A Hardin County man has been accused of inappropriately touching a six-year-old child, and having the little girl touch him on multiple occasions.
The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office arrested 63-year-old Michael W. Hazelip, of Rineyville, and charged him with first-degree sexual abuse (victim under the age of 12).
The arrest arose after the now 10-year-old victim told police Hazelip had her touch him inappropriately multiple times between May and August 2021 when the victim was six-years-old, according to a report by The News-Enterprise.
Under questioning, Hazelip told police he also inappropriately touched the victim during the same time period.
The suspect is being held in the Hardin County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
