Trio, including father and daughter, busted for staging armed robbery

Police in Laurel County have arrested three people in connection to a staged armed robbery at a grocery store on Sunday.

An investigation revealed that the store clerk, along with two other people, staged the robbery at East 80 Grocery in a plot to steal money from the store, according to media reports.

Police arrested 50-year-old Jeffrey Minton, 47-year-old Bobby Lee Goins, and Goins daughter, 27-year-old Bertha Anna Isgrigg, all of Manchester.

Minton, the store clerk, is charged with complicity to commit robbery, falsely reporting an incident and theft. He’s being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

Goins and Isgrigg were charged with first degree robbery. Goins is being held on a $25,000 cash bond, with Igrigg being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

Investigators say Isgrigg drove Goins to and from the store.

All three are lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
