Man struck and killed by train in Elizabethtown identified

Authorities have identified the man killed after he was struck by a CSX train on Saturday afternoon in Elizabethtown.

The man, believed to be homeless, has been identified as 66-year-old Roger D. Teachout, of Elizabethtown. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy has been performed, but toxicology results are pending, according to a report in the News Enterprise.

Teachout was struck on the tracks that cross East Dixie Avenue, near the Hardin County courthouse.

The investigation into the incident continues.
